Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake Muffins



These Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake Muffins are the perfect treat for breakfast or as an afternoon snack. They combine the flavors of a classic coffee cake with the goodness of chocolate chips in a convenient muffin form. Moist, flavorful, and irresistible!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar

Mix until well combined

Add the egg and continue to mix until the mixture is creamy and smooth

Stir in the sour cream, brewed coffee, milk, and vanilla extract

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined

Fold in the mini chocolate chips

Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease the cups

Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the muffin batter

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean

Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
