The Ultimate Grilled Cheese



With this classic grilled cheese sandwich recipe, you can enjoy the ultimate comfort food. The crunchy, buttery bread and gooey, melted cheese go so well together.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of high-quality white bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices of American cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each bread slice

Place one slice of cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of one bread slice

Sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper over the cheddar cheese slice

Place the American cheese slices on top of the seasoned cheddar cheese

Top with the second bread slice, buttered side facing out

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat

Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until the bread turns golden brown, about 3-4 minutes

Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side until it's also golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes more

Remove from the heat and let it cool for a minute before slicing diagonally

Serve your ultimate grilled cheese sandwich while it's hot and enjoy!
